Many of us can agree that receiving touch on the feet is a soothing, relaxing experience. It’s also quite a vulnerable place to be touched, so receiving Reflexology requires an element of openness. Bravo for being open! We are on our feet all day and rarely get the chance to give them any TLC…even though our whole body benefits when we take care of our feet!
With over 7,200 nerves terminating in each foot, there is a wonderful opportunity to access the whole body through the soles of the feet. By applying gentle pressure to specific areas on the feet, we can increase circulation and send fresh blood and nutrients to all the organs and systems in the body. At the same time, these nerve signals can help aid in the removal of waste products from the cells. The result?
Stress reduction - which brings about deep relaxation and healing
A balancing effect on the nervous system
Pain relief and reduction in inflammation
A boost in lymphatic function, and therefore increased immunity
Detoxification of the whole body in a gentle, natural way
An increase in body awareness, vitality and health
Ultimately, Reflexology is an effective, non-inavsive modality that helps create the right conditions for the body to return to its natural, balanced, free-flowing state. YOUR BODY is the healer. As a Reflexologist, I SUPPORT your vastly intelligent body in doing what it does best!
The practice of Reflexology has been around in different forms for thousands of years and is present in cultures all over the world. The oldest recorded image of Reflexology dates to 2330 BC, where images depicting people engaging in foot therapy was found in the tomb of Ankmahor, an Egyptian doctor from the Sixth Dynasty.
There have been further discoveries in China, Japan and India where stone carvings have been found illustrating ancient practices of healing techniques relating to the feet. In Greece, historians suggest that there was an ancient health spa called "The Delphi" where massage, hydrotherapy and reflexology were used to promote well-being and relaxation. Native American healing practices were observed to treat diseases not by working on the unwell organ directly, but by massaging other parts of the body to impact the organ that needed support.
There are countless studies showing the efficacy of Reflexology, and I’ve heard and read many fantastic stories about people experiencing healing, pain relief, and improved mental states as a result of receiving Reflexology. That is all well and good, but nothing beats direct experience!
In my Reflexology sessions, I meet you where you are at. There is room to go very deep with this work, and practicing Reflexology intuitively is one of my greatest joys. I like to incorporate sound, breath work, and visualization exercises in my sessions, and my clients are often surprised at how profound these sessions can be, and how nourished they feel as a result of our work together. I consider the feet to be a sacred portal to deeper layers of ourselves and the interface of our connection with Mother Earth, and I am honored to do this work and offer a high level of care and presence to each of my clients.
“Having never had reflexology before, I was delightfully surprised just how great I felt after a seemingly simple practice. I received a month of weekly sessions with Kat and I so enjoyed these beautiful and balancing moments with her. Guided by her intuition, Kat guided my body and mind into a harmonious state through a safe and gentle touch, week by week, deepening the body's own capacity for healing. Reflexology with Kat is an experience to be treasured - do not hesitate to schedule a session with her magical hands that endeavor to feel your soul through your sole!”

Reflexology in particular as well as massage have long been a part of my personal wellness routine. That said, finding a 'right fit" practitioner is really special. I have been so fortunate to have worked with Kat for Reflexology.
Kat immediately put me at ease with her personal nature, which is warm and genuine. During our sessions I was especially impressed by her attention to me individually. She sought to understand my goals and addressed them with her excellent competence and techniques. Kat honed her work with focus and care, which is a gift.
